Ovada – Villimpenta
9th day
Today the journey has been super heavy for all four of us. An infinite straight line dotted with villages that, well, it's not that they weren't interesting, it's just that they were on our way and since they weren't a destination and we hadn't read anything about them, we passed them by feeling like they were preventing us from picking up a bit of speed 🤦♀️. It felt long, to be honest...

The boredom of the road was more than compensated by the chosen destination, a field in the middle of nowhere, a free camping spot that a private individual makes available to travelers like us for free.

The place in question was a beautiful emerald green vineyard, completely empty, and the only thing we could hear was the clucking of two hens, and that was because we parked next to the henhouse🐓. It's impossible not to feel good in a place like this 🥰.
After settling in, we went to the winery for a tasting to see if we would buy a bottle 🍷… Eight of different types have fallen. I'm not much of a wine person, but T said they were very good 🤗.

The winery is small, and the family that runs it is super lovely. They treated us very well, and when we asked if we could buy some eggs from the hens, they told us not to worry, that we should help ourselves because we were invited 🥚. We're going to save them for a special occasion.

There were five in total, and T stayed for a while talking to them to see if he could encourage them to lay some more 🤣.
We have a friend who told us that her hen thinks it's a dog… Seeing our overnight neighbors, I can understand her perfectly. These were huge, and instead of clucking, they barked 😅.

We finished the remaining lettuce for dinner while watching the sun go down. What a peace was in the air and what colors surrounded us.

A sunset like few others. On this trip, we haven't been able to enjoy many, but with today's, we are satisfied.
T stayed talking to the hens, and I took refuge in Thorqui to catch you up a bit more on our journey.
Good night… I’ll keep telling you 😘
