Day 1
Gata de Gorgos (Alicante) - Base Camp Gavà (Barcelona)

First day of our trip discovering the southeast! We left Gata de Gorgos heading to Barcelona!

Apr 10, 2026
Day 2
Hello Camp Gavá (Barcelona) – Municipal Camping Cap Leucate (Leucate)

We had been wanting to visit Leucate for quite some time because we had heard great things about this area for eating oysters, and this time we didn't want to miss the opportunity.

Apr 11, 2026
Day 3
Day 3: Municipal camping cap Leucate (Leucate) - Parking Park La Noisette d'Oc (Mèce)

The night has been quite eventful. Being so close to the sea, we experienced the storm up close, and after all, the wine wasn't enough to knock us out 🤣.

Apr 12, 2026
Day 4
Parking Park La Noisette d'Oc (Mèze) – Parking Park La Noisette d'Oc (Mèze)

Rainy and windy day in Mèze, taking the opportunity to rest inside Thorqui, recharging energy with freshly baked bread and croissants, explaining how life works in the camper, and enjoying a quiet dinner with the heating on.

Apr 13, 2026
Day 5
Parking Park La Noisette d'Oc (Mèze) – Harley Davidson (Salon de Provence)

Transition day towards Salon de Provence, with a baker's breakfast and oysters on the way, an unexpected visit to the Harley Davidson dealership to fix Beast's issue, and a night of celebration after confirming that the bike was ready to continue the journey.

Apr 14, 2026
Day 6
Salon de Provence – Camping de la Laune (Peillon)

This morning we were short on road to leave, we were eager to continue with the journey. Our destination was a small campsite in the village of Peillon, fifteen kilometers from Nice and twenty from Monaco.

Apr 15, 2026
Day 7
Peillon – Peillon

This morning we set off to the principality on our motorcycle for a little visit. To be honest, we went just to buy a sticker for Beast and to add the country to our list.

Apr 16, 2026
Day 8
Peillon – Ovada

Today we made the most of our stay at the campsite and had a leisurely breakfast while the day warmed up. Since the drive to Ovada by road was going to be quite heavy due to traffic, we decided last night that we would take the highway instead.

Apr 17, 2026
Day 9
Ovada – Villimpenta

Today the journey has been really tough for all four of us. An endless straight line dotted with towns that, well, it's not that they weren't interesting, it's just that they were on our way and since they weren't our destination and we hadn't read anything about them, we passed by feeling like they were preventing us from picking up some speed 🤦‍♀️.

Apr 18, 2026
Day 10
Villimpenta – Staranzano

The highlight of today's route was the city of Montagnana, one of the best-preserved medieval fortified complexes in the world. The interior has also remained intact, making the visit incredibly interesting 🦇.

Apr 19, 2026
Day 11
Staranzano – Funtana

Today was the first time since we started the trip that I was aware I was crossing a border because from Italy, on the route Thorqui and I took, we passed through Slovenia for about ten minutes before entering Croatia, and there were controls on both sides without actually stopping you, just a little...

Apr 20, 2026
Day 12
Funtana – Pula and Rovinj

Motorcycle visit to Pula and Rovinj from the Funtana campsite, with a stroll through the Roman amphitheater, the old town, the market, traditional Croatian food, and an afternoon wandering the streets and harbor of Rovinj.

Apr 21, 2026
Day 13
Funtana – Senj

The road has brought us today to the city of Senj. We travel only a few kilometers because the roads, while not bad, have many curves, and it takes an average of three hours to cover 50 km, but we are in no hurry 😃.

Apr 22, 2026
Day 14
Senj – Sibenik

Today's stop also holds a special meaning for Thorsten because during the vacations they used to take as kids every summer on the family sailboat, this was one of the places where they absolutely loved to drop anchor😍. I haven't mentioned that Thorsten's father built a sailboat with his...

Apr 23, 2026
Day 15
Sibenik – Ston

Today, since there were more kilometers and there was an hour and a half difference between taking the highway or not, Thorqui and I decided to pay the toll and avoid some of the curves along the coast 😏. We actually arrived almost at the same time.

Apr 24, 2026
Day 16
Ston – Dubrovnik

"The jewel of the Adriatic" awaited us today in all its splendor, bustling with people right from the entrance. The journey was good, just a few kilometers with the idea of settling in and heading out to explore the city.

Apr 25, 2026
Day 17
Dubrovnik – Novo Selo

For me, it has been an endless journey; I couldn't see how I would reach my destination. A few kilometers, but very dense because the first part was coastal road, and it didn't move at all 😶‍🌫️ (I can't even imagine how it is during high season).

Apr 26, 2026
Day 18
Novo Selo – Novo Selo

This morning T and Beast left early, Thorqui and I stayed home feeling very relaxed, and I took the opportunity to catch up a bit on the blog because I'm really behind 😥 I told you yesterday that this place is wonderful. Except for the occasional truck passing by on the road to the quarry we have...

Apr 27, 2026
Day 19
Novo Selo – Novo Selo

The day couldn't have started better 😉. Breakfast was a mix of German and Spanish. Soft-boiled eggs just like my mother used to make when we were kids, ham, and bread with butter.

Apr 28, 2026
Day 20
Novo Selo – Buljarica

We said goodbye to the family and headed to the coast to get to know it a little before leaving the country. Sticking to our routines, we arrived at the campsite and parked before heading out to explore a couple of nearby towns that we had noted down.

Apr 29, 2026
Day 21
Buljarica – Buljarica

We thought we would stay just one day in the area, but yesterday we realized that a rainstorm was coming, so we decided to wait and see how the morning would be. Definitely, given the situation, we chose to stay one more night and have a quiet day at home 🏚️. In the end, it has been anything but quiet because...

Apr 30, 2026
Day 22
Buljarica – Lezhë

Today's stop was recommended to us by Marco, the owner of the house in Montenegro where we stayed the other day. Mrizi and Zanave (The Fairies' Hideout) is a farm/hotel/restaurant owned by two brothers who at one point went to Italy to learn cooking and everything related to the hospitality business.

May 01, 2026
Day 23
Lezhë – Tirana

This morning we didn't want to leave the farm without first having a typical breakfast. On social media, they said it was spectacular, but we didn't find it that impressive. However, since they had all their cheeses in the buffet, I was able to try them all 🧀.

May 02, 2026
Day 24
Tirana – Qeparo

Heading to the Albanian coast of the Adriatic to eat fresh fish at one of the beach bars in the area, T and Beast have enjoyed the journey like kids, you can imagine 🫣... twists and turns on mediocre roads, some even affected by landslides with one of the lanes closed.

May 03, 2026
Day 25
Qeparo – Ioannina

Leaving Albania, I’m sorry to say, has been a relief; the good food doesn’t make up for the risk of driving on its roads 🫣. Albanians are chaotic and aggressive on the road, in addition to systematically ignoring any traffic rules.

May 04, 2026
Day 26
Ioannina – Ioannina

Tuesday, May 5, 2026 – 26th day Camping Limnopoula (Ioannina) Ioannina has turned out to be quite a discovery. Yesterday we were really surprised to see what the city had hidden, and on the way home, I did a bit of research.

May 05, 2026
Day 27
Ioannina – Kastraki

Departure to the monasteries of Meteora in the Thessaly Region at the edge of the Pindus mountain range. Thorqui and I in a straight line as much as possible, while T and Beast enjoy the winding paths of the mountain range.

May 06, 2026
Day 28
Kastraki – Delphi

An intense day among the rock formations and monasteries of Meteora, followed by our arrival in Delphi to visit its sacred city, its museum, and end the day with views of the valley and a Greek dinner.

May 07, 2026
Day 29
Delphi – Kryoneri

This morning we left early to avoid the rain that was coming our way. We still caught it, so although we initially planned to go straight to Igoumenitsa, in the end, the idea of stopping halfway and waiting out the wet front at the Thorqui shelter won out 😉.

May 08, 2026
Day 30
Kryoneri – Igoumenitsa

This morning we headed straight to the workshop to change the battery. Thorqui and I arrived without any issues, and since they were already informed, they were super quick.

May 09, 2026
Day 31
Igoumenitsa – Brindisi

Tonight we’re taking a ferry to Brindisi (Italy) at the heel of the boot, just to give you an idea 👢🙃. We’re going to head to the tip (of the boot) to reach Sicily, which is our next destination.

May 10, 2026
Day 32
Brindisi – Tarsia

The perfect journey, we have arrived at port with Swiss punctuality, and we slept like babies. At first, when we changed our tickets, they told us there were no cabins available, and we accepted it 🤷‍♀️ but in the end, last night they assigned us a huge quadruple cabin at the bow of the ship with endless views that we have...

May 11, 2026
Day 33
Tarsia – Siderno

I'm telling you that the night was the most surreal 🤔. I told you yesterday that we went to sleep before 11:00 PM, everything was perfect, silence had already taken over the village and it seemed like it was going to be a calm and perfect night when suddenly at midnight a group of young guys appeared, we don't know...

May 12, 2026
Day 34
Siderno – Etnea

Today we head straight to the village of San Giovanni to catch another ferry towards Sicily. Crossing the Strait of Messina. The last time I was in these latitudes, Mount Etna was in full eruption on a cruise heading to Greece.

May 13, 2026
Day 35
Etnea – Etnea

Our first official outing in Sicily, and as I mentioned yesterday, Mount Etna, looming close at nearly 3,500 meters high, was our first stop. Lina and Gerhard, the couple of "riders" Thorsten invited for beers last night, have joined us.

May 14, 2026
Day 36
Etnea – Syracuse

This morning the four of us set out for Syracuse. They are traveling like us, taking the route as they go. They have been on the road for two weeks and have a couple more to go.

May 15, 2026
Day 37
Syracuse – San Lorenzo

Today we decided to move a little further south because we don't really like this campsite; it's far from everything and surrounded by roads, so taking walks isn't an option. It has been raining until half past ten, so our departure was a bit later than usual, but since the journey was short, we...

May 16, 2026
Day 38
San Lorenzo – San Lorenzo

Strolling along the beach, taking advantage of it being Sunday to see if there was any activity, but there wasn't much at all. It seems that the season isn't really getting started here.

May 17, 2026
Day 39
San Lorenzo – Caltagirone

Caltagirone is the most flourishing town in the province of Catania. It is also called "Queen of the Mountains" because from the heights of its three hills there are spectacular views of the surroundings.

May 18, 2026
Day 40
Caltagirone – Villaggio Mosè

A peaceful route to the Valley of the Temples, with an early arrival at the campsite and an intense visit among Sicilian landscapes, Greek ruins, monumental temples, and an exhausting hike that ended with a simple dinner after too many stones.

May 19, 2026
Day 41
Villaggio Mosè – Triscina

After the rocky marathon we had yesterday, today we craved total calm by the sea, so we headed that way ☺️. On the way, we stopped at La Scala dei Turchi or the Stair of the Turk, about half an hour from where we spent the night.

May 20, 2026
Day 42
Triscina – Scopello

The village of Scopello is located on a small cliff, and from the outside, it gives the impression of being a wild and rural place still very much attached to past traditions. Its name derives from the Greek "Skopelòs," which means rock.

May 21, 2026
Day 43
Scopello – Palermo

Arrival in Palermo after Thorsten's early excursion to the Torre Bennistra, settling into an urban garden, and the first stroll through the historic center of the Sicilian capital among monuments, lively streets, and an impromptu dinner with fellow travelers.

May 22, 2026
Day 44
Palermo – Palermo

The flag of Sicily is known as the Trinacria and features a triskelion on a background divided diagonally from the top corner to the bottom. The upper part is red, and the lower part is yellow. These two colors represent the cities of Palermo and Corleone…

May 23, 2026
Day 45
Palermo – Cagliari

At 7:15 this morning, we left the Agroturismo to head to the ferry boarding. I got in without any issues, but T had quite a scare because we forgot to put Beast's license plate on his ticket, and they wouldn't let him through ☹️.

May 24, 2026
Day 46
Cagliari – Torralba

Our first contact with the island of Sardinia couldn't have been better. Last night was a bit of a makeshift situation because we left the boat so late that we didn't want to push ourselves too much, but this morning, with the sun shining bright, we took to the roads heading towards the north/center of the island.

May 25, 2026
Day 47
Torralba – Santa Teresa di Gallura

Today I enjoyed the route like never before. Over these years of traveling, I've gotten used to looking for the shortest path to reach my destination because I don't want surprises.

May 26, 2026
Day 48
Santa Teresa di Gallura – Linguizzetta

We said goodbye to Sardinia with the idea of returning in the future with Beast and renting an apartment in the center of the island as a base to explore it a bit more in depth. Our time is running out 😥 and seeing that getting to Corsica is a bit more complicated, we have...

May 27, 2026
Day 49
Linguizzetta – Linguizzetta

Yesterday I mentioned that the campsite was on the east side of the island and that we were right on the beach, but what I didn't tell you is that behind us is the Natural Park of Corsica, which occupies more than fifty percent of the island, so we have the sea in front of us and behind us peek the...

May 28, 2026
Day 50
Linguizzetta – Bastia

Excursion day to Bastia after a thunderstorm in Corsica, with a stroll through the old port, the Citadel, the Procathedral of Santa Maria, and a return through mountain villages before having dinner by the sea.

May 29, 2026
Day 51
Linguizzetta – Linguizzetta

Today Thorsten and Beast have gone out to explore the world on their own. I have decided to stay home and enjoy a bit of peace before heading back.

May 30, 2026
Day 52
Linguizzetta – Linguizzetta

A day of total relaxation, beach and sauna from dawn until night. It has been such a relaxing experience that we didn't take a single photo except for the ones at dawn and dusk 😯.

May 31, 2026
Day 53
Linguizzetta – Porto Torres

Bonifacio isn't as spectacular when viewed from the outside. It's true that the views are impressive, but the old town didn't say much to us, even though it's considered one of the most beautiful cities on the island.

Jun 01, 2026
Day 54
Porto Torres – Barcelona

Yesterday was a very long day due to the journeys we had to make, and today we had a very short night. At 5:15 in the morning, we were already in line for the ferry to board 😊.

Jun 02, 2026
Day 55
Barcelona – Gata de Gorgos

The campervan parking in Villafranca del Penedés is great. I still need to leave a super positive review because the place, besides being very well located, has free water filling and emptying facilities, and the surroundings, being surrounded by other caravans, give a sense of security.
