We had been wanting to visit Leucate for quite some time because we had heard great things about this area for eating oysters, and this time we didn't want to miss the opportunity.
Day 3: Municipal camping cap Leucate (Leucate) - Parking Park La Noisette d'Oc (Mèce)
The night has been quite eventful. Being so close to the sea, we experienced the storm up close, and after all, the wine wasn't enough to knock us out 🤣.

Rainy and windy day in Mèze, taking the opportunity to rest inside Thorqui, recharging energy with freshly baked bread and croissants, explaining how life works in the camper, and enjoying a quiet dinner with the heating on.

Transition day towards Salon de Provence, with a baker's breakfast and oysters on the way, an unexpected visit to the Harley Davidson dealership to fix Beast's issue, and a night of celebration after confirming that the bike was ready to continue the journey.

This morning we were short on road to leave, we were eager to continue with the journey. Our destination was a small campsite in the village of Peillon, fifteen kilometers from Nice and twenty from Monaco.

This morning we set off to the principality on our motorcycle for a little visit. To be honest, we went just to buy a sticker for Beast and to add the country to our list.

Today we made the most of our stay at the campsite and had a leisurely breakfast while the day warmed up. Since the drive to Ovada by road was going to be quite heavy due to traffic, we decided last night that we would take the highway instead.

Today the journey has been really tough for all four of us. An endless straight line dotted with towns that, well, it's not that they weren't interesting, it's just that they were on our way and since they weren't our destination and we hadn't read anything about them, we passed by feeling like they were preventing us from picking up some speed 🤦♀️.

The highlight of today's route was the city of Montagnana, one of the best-preserved medieval fortified complexes in the world. The interior has also remained intact, making the visit incredibly interesting 🦇.

Today, since there were more kilometers and there was an hour and a half difference between taking the highway or not, Thorqui and I decided to pay the toll and avoid some of the curves along the coast 😏. We actually arrived almost at the same time.

Today's stop was recommended to us by Marco, the owner of the house in Montenegro where we stayed the other day. Mrizi and Zanave (The Fairies' Hideout) is a farm/hotel/restaurant owned by two brothers who at one point went to Italy to learn cooking and everything related to the hospitality business.

This morning we didn't want to leave the farm without first having a typical breakfast. On social media, they said it was spectacular, but we didn't find it that impressive. However, since they had all their cheeses in the buffet, I was able to try them all 🧀.

Heading to the Albanian coast of the Adriatic to eat fresh fish at one of the beach bars in the area, T and Beast have enjoyed the journey like kids, you can imagine 🫣... twists and turns on mediocre roads, some even affected by landslides with one of the lanes closed.

Leaving Albania, I’m sorry to say, has been a relief; the good food doesn’t make up for the risk of driving on its roads 🫣. Albanians are chaotic and aggressive on the road, in addition to systematically ignoring any traffic rules.

Tuesday, May 5, 2026 – 26th day Camping Limnopoula (Ioannina) Ioannina has turned out to be quite a discovery. Yesterday we were really surprised to see what the city had hidden, and on the way home, I did a bit of research.

Departure to the monasteries of Meteora in the Thessaly Region at the edge of the Pindus mountain range. Thorqui and I in a straight line as much as possible, while T and Beast enjoy the winding paths of the mountain range.

An intense day among the rock formations and monasteries of Meteora, followed by our arrival in Delphi to visit its sacred city, its museum, and end the day with views of the valley and a Greek dinner.

This morning we left early to avoid the rain that was coming our way. We still caught it, so although we initially planned to go straight to Igoumenitsa, in the end, the idea of stopping halfway and waiting out the wet front at the Thorqui shelter won out 😉.

The campervan parking in Villafranca del Penedés is great. I still need to leave a super positive review because the place, besides being very well located, has free water filling and emptying facilities, and the surroundings, being surrounded by other caravans, give a sense of security.
