24th day

Heading to the Albanian coast of the Adriatic to eat fresh fish at one of the beach bars in the area

T and Beast have enjoyed the journey like kids, you can imagine šŸ«£ā€¦ curves and more curves on mediocre roads, some even affected by landslides with one lane closed. That, combined with the way Albanians drive, has been pure stress for Thorqui and me.
There was a moment when I looked around and only saw white peaks, and well, you can’t imagine how many times I swallowed hard on the way 😟, but since the idea of going to the coast was mine, aside from regretting a thousand ways suggesting it, I had little to reproach Thorsten.
You can see his face in the photo; it says it all. He arrived so happy that I felt like hitting him 🤭.

The destination was a parking lot next to one of the few beach bars that were open. Since it’s not the season yet, many of them are closed.

First, we located the restaurant and confirmed that it was open, and it was. Second, a walk around the area to stretch our legs, and the third didn’t happen today because there was nothing else to see 🧐

The restaurant was incredible and the food spectacular. They didn’t have all the dishes on the menu, which is normal since being out of season isn’t profitable for them, but Baki and Fiona, besides being perfect hosts, guided us in choosing the most appetizing options always according to our tastes.

I couldn’t repeat the names of the dishes, all based on seafood, but I can tell you that this dinner has been by far one of the best we’ve enjoyed since leaving Spain.

One of them was a seafood pasta, and the other was cooked with a fish cream baked in a wood oven that left us out of commission because it was so good.
The best part is that in the end, we felt perfect without that heavy feeling that sometimes makes digestion difficult 🄓.
A delight… Oh! And the wine they recommended was also excellent. We ended the day chatting with the owners, who, as I’ve already mentioned, are absolutely charming.
Good night… I’ll keep you posted 😘
