Ioannina – Kastraki
27th day
Departure towards the monasteries of Meteora in the Thessaly Region at the edge of the Pindus mountain range. Thorqui and I in a straight line as much as possible and T and Beast enjoying the winding paths of the mountain range that still linger.

Today he climbed to almost one thousand seven hundred meters in height, took so many curves that he arrived tired at the campsite 😉.

According to what he told me upon arrival, it was all a bit chaotic because halfway through he had to stop due to a cycling race in the area, which prevented him from following the planned route to where he really wanted to go 😑.

The area is associated with World War II and the Civil War, where intense battles took place for which small tanks and armored vehicles were transported there, some of which still remain.

Just before getting home, he had to turn back because he encountered a landslide on the road. He assumes it must be recent because there were no warning signs or road closures. In total, he arrived super tired, and we decided to leave the visit to the monasteries for tomorrow before continuing the trip.

T got annoyed because I told him that he is less and less eager to set up the table and the awning 🤣 and he almost added putting down the floor too.

The truth is that when we stay just one night, since almost all campsites have tables, we take out very few things… Once the table was set, we enjoyed an improvised dinner, relying on our pantry because I couldn't find any supermarket to do the shopping.
Good night… I’ll keep you updated 😘
