Day 4

As indicated by the online references for the parking where we spent the night, this morning the baker came with freshly baked bread and croissants 😍.

Given the impossibility of hitting the road due to the weather, we opted to have breakfast sheltered in Thorqui with the delicious treats we bought and went back to bed 🫠.

As you already know from other trips, Thorqui is practically self-sufficient and gives us a margin of up to five days without camping. After that, we need to make at least one stop to empty the dirty water and fill the clean water at one of the points along the route.

The heating and hot water for the shower run on gasoline, and the refrigerator runs on gas. Regarding electricity, if we are not connected to a power source, we have to be more careful because if there is no sun, the solar panel doesn’t charge well... this issue is resolved by rationing usage without affecting the quality of our stay 🤭.

You already know the advantages of traveling with the house on our backs, which on days like today allows us to extend our stop for as long as needed. Beast rests, and T doesn’t have to get wet or be cold on the road 🥶. We also travel with enough time to make unexpected stops 💃.

Everything has its place, and disorder is prohibited. It has a bed of 150 x 190 cm, and this year we changed the mattress for a super good custom-made one, so thick that we had to put a stool to climb into bed 🛏️.

There are several cabinets for storage, more than enough for the two of us, although of course mine are a bit bigger 😉.
A full-sized washbasin and a living room with a folding table that usually serves as my office, although on cold days it becomes a dining room. The driver and passenger seats swivel around, and the television is placed right in front. By the way, it’s also new, and I’m still wondering why I bought it since we never watch TV 🤔.
At this point, I remind you again that Thorqui is a camper van, and I drive it while Beast is the motorcycle that Thorsten carries. We leave every morning in two vehicles along different routes, about 200/300 km, until we meet at a previously agreed point and enjoy the rest of the day together exploring the area on the motorcycle, walking around the local town, or resting when the weather calls for it.
Today we didn’t go anywhere because between the rain and the wind, there wasn’t much desire. We just went to the restaurant for a moment to buy… and we had a lovely dinner with the heating on and everything 😝.

Good night... I’ll keep you posted 😘
